
Amanda Louise Holden, born on the 16th of February, 1971 is an English actress and media personality. Since 2007 she has served as an official judge of Britain's Got Talent television talent competition on ITV. She also co-hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. Holden was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent the majority of her growing up in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she joined Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden has also appeared on TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also a part of three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" featuring Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. He co-starred with Bill Nighy (and Tom Courtenay) in Ready When You Are Mr. McGill, Jack Rosenthal's comedy drama. Holden is the judge on Britain's Got Talent along with Simon Cowell, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon. She was the judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 until 2006.
