Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She speaks French, German, English and Romanian well. Her father is a theater professor at one of Romania's highest-rated theater schools. The Mangalia Gala, which is a celebration of Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. In addition to her outstanding performance in her maiden film the actress is also recognized for her performance in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days which won her several laurels like an award from the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was a Romanian actress in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 months 3 weeks and saptamani si 2 zile (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded three weeks, four months and two days) which was awarded the Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her work. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a guest on her own Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014), she appeared as Irma who was a German woman who played Emma's aunt.
